First Vacation

We did it! Our first vacation was a whirlwind of activity. Little Riley was a trooper in the car and mostly slept or sucked on his toes!

We headed far north to Redding for the Lemurian mountain bike race. Riley survived a near traumatic fall off the big bed while we were setting up his mini bed. Fortunately Corey has cat-like reflexes (has a rugburn to prove it) and caught him before damage could be done. Scary!

Had fun hanging out with Chico friends on the shores of Whiskeytown Lake......does anything beats sweaty mountain bikers? Also got to visit Aunt Michelle where she just happened to be camping with 12 of her very closest friends across the lake!

Then we were off to Chico where we walked around downtown, toured the campus, and dunked Riley's toes in One Mile at Bidwell Park. I hadn't been there since last year when I was pregnant. It was so surreal to walk around the old college town with my husband and our son - life is sweet.

Riley thoroughly enjoyed his first vacation but was pleased to get back into his jumperoo after the weekend hiatus!
